Science of Mobile Jammer

Radio waves carry energy through electromagnetic fields. Systematically modified, these waves can send information to an electrical conductor, where they can be translated back to their original form. This is how radio works. It's also how cell phones work, sending and receiving signals from cell phone towers.

When waves of any kind with the same distance between peaks cross each other.their individual heights or amplitudes combine. In the case of radio waves, that collision results in a garbled signal, disabling communications.

Transmitting radio signals can jam radio broadcasts as well as radar guns and cell phones. In the U. S., it's illegal for individuals to do any of the three, although police and security officials have sometimes jammed cell phones mostly to prevent them from being used to remotely detonate a bomb.
